YOGA
The art of Alignment
The method I use is deeply rooted in Iyengar Yoga. It is renowned for its focus on precise alignment and the use of props
In my teaching you can expect in-depth instructions, detailed demonstrations of the poses and adjustments to help students deepen their understanding of the postures and develop an overall awareness of body and self.
You will also be encouraged to work at your own capacity and adjust your practice to injuries or conditions you may be working with.

“I do not call my teachings "Iyengar Yoga" even though my training is fundamentally rooted in this method. The only thing I want to do is to bring the quality of presence, so that my students learn how to listen to their body, feel safe in their practice, strengthen their physical and psychological health and really enjoy the experience. What I do is pure, authentic Yoga.
About Your Teacher
I have been practicing and teaching yoga for over 35 years, having trained in the traditional Iyengar Method in Sydney and at the BKS Iyengar Institute in Pune (India). I had the honour of being a student of Guruji BKS Iyengar and his daughter Dr Geeta Iyengar. I have taught in various studios, organized workshops and retreats in Australia and overseas, and trained and mentored many yoga teachers.
After severe spinal injuries, (see details here), I shifted my focus to healing and became a therapist and a chronic back pain expert. I have worked in Sydney and Overseas for many years.
Today I see patients in Edgecliff - Sydney. And I am happy to say that I have decided to teach again - the public and Yoga teachers . Namaste (Program below)

Whenever we find stiffness in the body, our mind should be especially supple. It is never the stiffness in our bodies that limits our practice, it is always the stiffness of our mind.

Workshops to deepen your understanding of Yoga for injuries and chronic conditions
"In my class you will learn the foundations of the Iyengar approach, and begin to experience how supportive of your strengths and respectful of your limitations it is"
Traditional Yoga and in particular the Iyengar method of teaching Yoga offers enormous physical, mental and spiritual benefits. With the use of props, working in pairs, using the wall etc... this form of yoga helps to correct postural problems and improve balance, stability, flexibility and strength.
Aligning the body improves coordination and creates equanimity which then helps to nourish the nervous system and build physical and mental resilience and emotional wellbeing
